PIPER PUP-DATE!

Piper, now 10 weeks old, has been growing and growing! In the past 3 weeks, he more than doodled his weight to 12.2 lbs!

This rapid growth has given Piper growing pains (or Panosteitis, as it’s called in puppies.) He began limping on Monday, and our donors took him to the vet on Tuesday morning, where he was evaluated, x-rayed, and diagnosed with Panosteitis.

This will resolve itself and the vet has prescribed pain medication in case he has a ruff time.

We wanted to pass this information on to potential bidders, but we surely hope that you will be barking out your bids on Saturday night. We know you will love Piper furever!

Meet Piper the Aussidoodle Pup

Your new best friend could be this pick of the litter, super smart Aussiedoodle!

This Australian Shepherd and Poodle mix will be up for auction, making a cuddly new edition to one lucky family.

Piper, as we know him, will be showing off his adorable tuxedo markings, white collar, and wavy fur at A Night of Southern Elegance on Saturday, November 6th.

Non-shedding, hypoallergenic, vaccinated, and crate-trained, Piper is the pup of an AKC Standard Poodle and a CKC first generation Aussiedoodle, making him a desirable F1B (3/4 Poodle) Aussiedoodle.

This male puppy was born on August 22 and will be 11 weeks old just in time for the gala. Piper has been raised at home with both of his parents, who have wonderful dispositions and have tested negative for genetic conditions. His dewclaws were removed and he has received all three rounds of his puppy vaccines. Once fully grown Piper will weigh about 55 lbs.

To ensure the winning bidder has time to make their home ‘ready for arrival’, the donor will work with you on a mutually agreed upon date. Donor will make a home visit to see that the new family knows how to care for a dog, has a fenced yard with no hazards, and an indoor sleeping area for Piper.

We invite you to prepare for an adventure as this elegant dinner and auction gala takes flight at the Fayette County Airport in Somerville, TN on Saturday, November 6, 2021.

You will have the unique experience of attending a chic soiree in a stunning airport facility where you’ll enjoy fine wine and dining, an extraordinary auction, and dancing in hangars and on the taxiway.

You can chose to enjoy the event in person or remotely via live stream. The in-person event features hors d’oeuvres, drinks, silent and live auctions, dinner, live music and dancing. The remote event features a live streamed program, silent and live auction, four-course meal, wine and beer.

Celebrate with us as Fayette Cares’ A Night of Southern Elegance goes virtual! Join us from the comfort of your home to celebrate the strength of our community and raise funds to help children and families who need our help more than ever during the COVID-19 crisis.

Host a table or buy tickets to our virtual event and enjoy a fun and unique evening with family and friends while helping those in need throughout our community. The food, wine, gifts and a virtual program with music are provided, so whether you gather in groups of 2, 8, 16 or more, you can focus on having fun and enjoying the evening!

ABOUT A NIGHT OF SOUTHERN ELEGANCE

A Night of Southern Elegance, the foremost gala in Fayette County and one of the most prominent in the Mid‑South, is an elegant evening of fine wine and dining, an extraordinary auction, and lively dancing directly supporting Fayette Cares.

Fayette Cares fights domestic violence, homelessness and financial crisis in the Mid‑South through many programs including dating violence classes, emergency shelter programs, collaborations with law enforcement, life skills, financial counseling and more.

Typically a sold‑out event of nearly 500 guests from Fayette, Shelby and surrounding counties attend, with hundreds more supporting the event through auction donations and volunteerism.

WHAT YOUR TICKET INCLUDES

The event features hors d’oeuvres, drinks, silent and live auctions, dinner, live music and dancing.

Tickets are $250 per couple, $1,000 for a table of eight or $1,500 for a premium table. Premium tables include premiere seating, premium dinner wines, champagne toast, exceptional centerpieces, and a table host gift.

Requests for emergency food increased by 143% compared to the previous year.
For many, this would be their first time in this situation.

50% Increase

Requests for domestic violence intervention has increased by 50% from the prior year. The pandemic has made it easier for abusers to trap victims.

300,000 lbs

Through August 2021, 300,000 pounds of fresh produce and nutritious food have been distributed throughout the community.
