Cotton Pickin' Course:
Runners and walkers will enjoy a scenic journey which weaves through the quaint roads of 
Somerville, TN.  Step (or run) back in time with views of historical homes, churches, Somerville City Cemetery (circa 1829) and more.  Event participants will experience inclines and declines.
Before the race, runners, walkers and spectators can enjoy a heart-pumping warm-up with top 40 pop, country, and hip hop hits.
5k race begins at 8:30 a.m.
1k fun run at 9:30 a.m. 
Race Day Registration Times:
5k: 7 - 8:15 a.m.
1k: 7 - 9:15 a.m.
Runners, walkers and strollers are welcome at both 5k & 1k events. For safety, no pets, bicycles or skates please.
Free parking is available at and around the race start, located at First United Methodist Church, 205 S. East St., Somerville, TN.

Cotton Pickin' Awards:
Unique cotton bale trophies are awarded to 5k race winners.  Awards are presented on race day at 10:00 a.m. at the
Fayette Co. Chamber Cotton Festival offering family friendly events including live music, inflatables, games, food, a car show
(featuring street rods, antique vehicles, foreign and domestic cars and trucks), heritage demonstrations, folk art, crafts, and much more.
5k Award categories:

1k Participants will receive a participant ribbon.
Cotton Pickin' Volunteers:
For those who won't be lacing up their running shoes a contribution of time, talents, and financial gifts is another great way to help Fayette Cares provide shelter, domestic violence intervention, and hope for families in crisis.
