The Fayette Cares A Night of Southern Elegance – Roaring 20’s Gala, held on Saturday, November 9 at The Venue, was a dazzling celebration of 1920’s elegance. This fringe-filled evening brought the community together in a powerful display of empathy and generosity.
As guests arrived, they were welcomed by dancers from Sync Ballroom, enthusiastically performing the Charleston. The Venue quickly filled with smiling faces, all dolled up and dapper, fully embracing the Roaring 20s theme. The space brimmed with feathers, philanthropy, and excitement as attendees enjoyed a “most wanted” photo booth, barrel cocktail tables, and a showcase of flapper-style dancing. Heart & Soul Catering by Michael Frances provided a delectable dinner that perfectly complemented the elegant ambiance.
The auction was an exhilarating highlight, featuring coveted items such as a stunning sapphire-diamond necklace, a sleek Mercedes-Benz E-Bike, and exclusive experiences ranging from all-inclusive Mexico-Caribbean getaways to stargazing from a Sky Dome at the Grand Canyon. The spirited bidding reflected the guests’ deep commitment to the cause, making it a night to remember.
A poignant moment of the evening was shared by Fayette Cares Board Member and domestic violence survivor, Amy Oliver. Her heartfelt testimony highlighted the profound impact of Fayette Cares’ programs, which not only provided her with safety but also empowered her to teach her children and others about healthy relationships. Thanks to Fayette Cares, Amy was able to reclaim her strength and independence. Inspired by her story, guests contributed generously, raising funds to bring new hope and support to families facing hardship.
Poverty, abuse, and hopelessness cast a shadow over many lives, with struggles that often pass from one generation to the next. But with the support of dedicated sponsors, donors, guests, and volunteers, at Fayette Cares families in crisis are finding a new path forward. The generosity shown at this gala provides shelter and safety, food, supplies, resources, and guidance, helping transform difficult chapters into stories of hope and stability.
Special recognition was given to House of Faith Ministries for generously hosting this spectacular event at The Venue. The night ended on an energetic note, as guests danced to the soulful tunes of the 1-900 Band.
