Fun and Fitness are Back with the High Cotton 5k/1k

Get out, get healthy, and show you care! The Fayette Cares High Cotton 5k/1k is back by popular demand and scheduled for Saturday, September 11th, in Somerville, TN.  Run, walk or dance to first place in a fun race that features a scenic course through historic Somerville, TN, cotton-themed 5k awards, and this year a personalized race finish video.   After the race, stay for a full day of fun at the Fayette County Chamber Cotton Festival including music, a car show, inflatables, games, food, and more.

Working from home or limiting activities cause you to fall short of your fitness goals?  Registering for this race is just the motivation and accountability you need to lace up your shoes, head out the door, and get healthy.  Your progress, might even inspire others to register and run or walk with you. And let’s face it, the race is basically one big fitness party!  It’s a great way to see old friends or make new ones, while doing something that’s fun, good for you, and good for the community.

Every registration supports the Fayette Cares mission to empower those in need with solutions to end homelessness, break the cycle of domestic violence, and create stability and self-sufficiency from crisis. For more than three decades Fayette Cares has served the Mid-South as a community-supported non-profit organization.

Adult registration is only $30, children 18 & under $15. Registration and event information is available at FayetteCares.org/5k or by calling (901) 465-3802 x 221.
