Victim Advocate
Providing direct assistance to victims and survivors of domestic violence from initial contact to self-sufficiency. The Victim Advocate has a strong focus on delivering intervention, prevention, and support services for adults who have experienced violence within intimate relationships. The Advocate is also involved in training efforts, general office/clerical activities, and other activities to maintain and develop program services. This is a member of a direct service team who works out of the main Fayette Cares office but will be required to perform duties at remote locations in Fayette and neighboring counties. Some on-call, weekend, and evening work, as well as overnight travel will be required. This is a full-time position with vacation, sick, holiday, and retirement plan benefits.
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
- Must support the mission, values, and ethics of Fayette Cares.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or related field; another combination of education/experience will be considered.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with homeless families, and/or victims/survivors of domestic violence preferred.
- Possess excellent administrative and human resources skills including: computer expertise, written and oral communication skills, time management skills, self-confidence, initiative, flexibility, and high degree of professionalism.
- Must be a team player, demonstrate motivation, exercise discretion and dependability, adhere to business profession code of ethics, require very little supervision once trained, and function well under stressful conditions.
- Demonstrated computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, email, and databases.
- Demonstrated team building, problem solving, creative/analytical thinking and organization skills.
- Demonstrated ability to gather and disseminate information.
- Must be able to maintain program/client/agency confidentiality, and treat each individual with dignity and respect.
- Ability interact with diverse populations in a positive, patient, sensitive and non-judgmental manner.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
Working Conditions, Physical Demands, and Job Environment
- Ability to handle stress, adapt to change, and transition quickly from one program area to another.
- Access to confidential information.
- Standing, lifting up to 50 lbs. variable distances, mobility and flexibility to use ladders, ability to work outdoors in temperatures exceeding 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Unsupervised contact with vulnerable program participants.
- Access to reliable transportation, proof of adequate insurance and a valid Tennessee driver’s license.
DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNICATIONS

The Fayette Cares Director of Development and Communications (DDC) is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing fundraising events and activities, as well as engaging with the community to raise awareness of programs and services. The DDC will work closely with the Executive Director, Chief Financial and Operations Officer, and Board of Directors in coordinating these activities.
The DDC works from the main Fayette Cares office and remotely to perform duties in Fayette and neighboring counties. Some on-call, weekend, and evening work will be required. This is a full time, Exempt position with vacation, sick, holiday, and retirement plan benefits.
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
- Must support the mission, values, and ethics of Fayette Cares
- At least two years of successful fundraising and donor relations experience, including face-to-face individual gift solicitation
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field; another combination of education/experience will be considered
- Excellent written and oral communication skills that compel individuals to action
- Comfort with and willingness to speak publicly
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, ability to manage projects effectively, and a keen attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, simultaneously lead multiple projects, and manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and decisions, with a variety of staff, volunteers, and the community
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including a strong sense of protocol, tact, and diplomacy, and an ability to work well with a variety of people and personalities
- Knowledge of and experience with fundraising techniques and communications tools
- Possess the skills to work with and motivate staff, board members, and volunteers
- Desire and drive to build relationships
- Self-starter, goal driven, and able to implement plans and processes to achieve goals
- Computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint), Google Workspace, Adobe, InDesign, Dropbox, Canva, Mailchimp, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn
- Ability to work outside of standard business hours
- Able to track and maintain expenses within an approved budget
Case Manager
Providing direct assistance to families in crisis with a strong focus on providing intervention, prevention, and support services for stability. This is a member of a direct service team who works out of the main Fayette Cares office but will be required to perform duties at remote locations in Fayette and neighboring counties. Some on-call, weekend, and evening work, as well as overnight travel will be required. This is a part-time (20+ hours per week) position with vacation, sick, holiday, and retirement plan benefits.
