Celebrating the Legacy of Pamela Rose

Help us celebrate someone who has given her heart, her wisdom, and let’s be honest, her incredible spreadsheet skills, to Fayette Cares for close to 16 years.

In the fall of 2025 Pamela Rose, our Chief Financial and Operations Officer, is retiring.

Pam has been the steady hand guiding us through some of our most challenging moments, all while fiercely avoiding public recognition.

Pam started as a volunteer for our gala, A Night of Southern Elegance, where her passion for the mission ignited and she offered her immense talents, including an MBA, to be of service.  She joined the board of directors and served as the treasurer giving her time, energy, and resources to support our mission long before she ever stepped into her current role. And for close to a decade, as our Chief Financial and Operations Officer, she has not only kept our finances in order, she has transformed the way we operate.

During the 2020 pandemic, when the world turned upside down, Pam didn’t flinch. Flanked by her tremendously talented sons, who volunteer their IT and HR expertise, she helped navigate the uncertain waters of a global pandemic and world-wide shutdowns.  She helped our organization continue services during a time when our community desperately needed us to be deliver services immediately.

In that same year Pam was recognized by the Memphis Business Journal as a finalist for the Nonprofit CFO of the Year Award.

More recently she helped lead a plan that expanded our food pantry to nearly triple its size, allowing us to distribute two tons of food each month to nearly 400 families in need.

Under her leadership we also grew the shelter to now offer eight units with 31 beds.  We playfully call this renovated space “Pam’s Place & Pantry,” because of the heart and brilliance behind it.

She has been our financial wizard, navigating grants, budgets, and funding strategies with precision, expertise, and excellence.

She has juggled events, staff management, retail operations, and more—all with a level-headedness that has kept us grounded and growing.

In times of crisis, she has been the voice of reason, and in times of success, she has been the quiet force ensuring every victory was sustainable and impactful.

Her work has left an indelible mark on Fayette Cares. The systems she built, the growth she fostered, and the leadership she demonstrates will forever shape this organization.

So, while Pam may not love the spotlight, we simply cannot let her leave without letting the world know how her work, her wisdom, and her legacy have and will continue to change lives.

Help us celebrate Pam!
She says, “No gifts for me—please make a donation to Fayette Cares instead. That’s the kind of gift that means the world to me.”
