A Pledge to End Abuse for Others

Jeremy* turned 55 this year, but he can remember being nine years old as his father woke him up before dawn on a crisp autumn morning to go deer hunting.

He recalls putting on his camouflage pants and carefully lacing his boots.
That day he prayed hard to find the strength to take the shot. He needed perfect aim because he couldn’t see another way out.

Jeremy was planning to shoot his father.

For years his dad brutally beat his mother, and Jeremy believed this was the only way to end the suffering.

His dad lived on for many years, and so did the abuse.

In those days, there weren’t programs like Fayette Cares to protect Jeremy, his mom, or his sister.

That’s why Jeremy made supporting Fayette Cares an essential part of his life. He wanted others to find hope.

His donations, coupled with the gifts of community supporters like you, make it possible for Fayette Cares to partner with police in giving victims safety and resources 24 hours a day.

Together we join in helping those who are vulnerable and traumatized navigate the complicated and intimidating justice system. We teach the community how to respond when someone is trapped in a toxic relationship.

But the services are not only here for victims of domestic violence.  Adults and children struggling with poverty and crisis can find shelter, food, clothing, supplies, and so much of the help they need to put the pieces back together.

Kids are still trapped in violent homes; families are struggling with scarcity and hopelessness.

They need Jeremy’s help. They need your help.

Donate to support the Fayette Cares mission today.
